Music Assistant - SEMH Secondary - Tower Hamlets (Bow)
£100-£115 per day | Full-time | Long-term | ASAP Start
Working with a secondary SEMH school in Bow looking for a strong Music TA to support students with behavioural needs through creative engagement.
This isn't a sit-back role - you need to be confident, proactive, and able to use music as a tool to build relationships and regulate behaviour.
The role:
- Support music lessons and practical sessions
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH students
- Help manage behaviour and keep students engaged
- Use music (production, instruments, rhythm etc.) to support learning and emotional regulation
Must have:
- Experience working in SEMH, PRU, or behavioural settings
- Strong interest or background in music (formal or informal)
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Able to build rapport quickly and stay calm under pressure
Ideal:
- Experience with music production / instruments
- Team Teach or similar training
