Pay Rate: £18.30 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Part Time – Term Time
Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week | 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch) | On-site
ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming Nursery School in Hammersmith and Fulham seeking an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a busy school office, supporting staff, pupils, and families on a daily basis.
This role would suit an experienced administrator or receptionist, ideally with school-based experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the first point of contact within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a professional and friendly reception service, handling enquiries face-to-face and over the phone
• Deliver confidential administrative support to the senior leadership team and wider staff
• Manage pupil records, admissions processes, and maintain accurate filing systems
• Monitor pupil attendance, follow up on absences, and maintain registers
• Use school systems (including SIMS) to input data, produce reports, and maintain records
• Support general office duties including photocopying, filing, and handling correspondence
• Assist with financial administration such as managing school payments, dinner money, and petty cash
• Coordinate bookings for supply staff and assist with school operations
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have previous experience in an administrative or school office role
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Have excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Show a proactive and flexible approach to supporting a busy school environment
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
