HR Assistant
Hull (Hybrid- minimum 2 days office based)
Fixed Term Contract 6 Months
Full Time - £28,000
We are recruiting for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to join a busy HR Operations team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role plays an important part in supporting the wider HR function and ensuring employees receive an efficient and positive HR service.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous HR experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to further develop their career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing a professional and helpful service

Maintain and update HR systems to ensure employee records remain accurate

Complete general HR administration tasks with a high level of accuracy

Prepare employee lifecycle documentation including contracts, letters and HR correspondence

Respond to employee queries and escalate where necessary

Support the HR team with people-related activities including employee relations processes

Assist with recruitment administration and pre-boarding activities for new starters

Provide support with payroll administration where required
Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an HR role is essential

Strong administrative background

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Experience using HR systems or databases

Strong organisational and time management skills

Confident communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
