Job Title: Assistant Drainage Engineer
Salary: £25,000–£35,000

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Drainage Engineer to join our client’s growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in drainage engineering. The successful candidate will support senior engineers in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across residential and commercial sites.
This is a hands-on role that requires a willingness to learn, good work ethic, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with unblocking sinks, toilets, and external drainage systems

Supporting high-pressure water jetting and drain cleaning operations

Helping carry out CCTV drain surveys and basic fault identification

Assisting with minor drain repairs and excavation works

Learning to identify and resolve drainage issues efficiently

Providing good customer service while on-site

Completing basic job reports and assisting with documentation

Following all health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements

Interest in drainage engineering or construction/utilities work

Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Good communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable Skills

Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or labouring

Basic knowledge of drainage systems or tools

Any relevant training or certifications (not essential)

Experience working in a hands-on/manual role
