Accounts Receivable Assistant – Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable focuses on managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances to support business cash flow.
What You Will Be Doing

Raising and issuing invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring prompt collection of payments

Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts

Investigating and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies

Chasing outstanding debts via phone and email professionally

Preparing and reviewing aged debtor reports

Maintaining accurate records of all transactions

Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes

Liaising with internal teams and clients regarding billing queries

Assisting with credit control procedures and improving cash flow

Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – essential
-
At least 1 year of Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience – essential

Experience with accounting software (Sage 50 desirable)

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn
