We are working with a specialist SEN school supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH and complex behavioural needs, and they are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive and experienced team.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will support students to regulate emotions, build confidence and re-engage with learning.
🧠The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and additional needs
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Support behaviour management within the classroom
• Build positive, consistent relationships with students
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
👀 Ideal Backgrounds
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
✔ Youth work or mentoring
✔ Care or support work
✔ SEMH or behaviour support roles
✔ Sports coaching or fitness backgrounds
✔ Police, military or security roles
✔ Psychology or education graduates
No school experience required — the right attitude and resilience are key.
