School Cleaner - Dual Site Role (Bispham & Blackpool)
Location: Bispham (FY2) and Central Blackpool (Both accessible via public transport)
Pay Rate: £14.24 - £15.00 per hour
Hours: 5 Hours Per Day (Split Shift: 06:00-08:00 and 15:00-18:00)
Contract: Temporary (13th April - 24th July 2026)
Status: Term Time Only (Potential to transfer to a Permanent Contract)
Are you a reliable and thorough cleaner looking for a consistent, local role for the summer term? We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of hygiene across two primary school sites in the Bispham and Blackpool areas.
This role begins on 13th April 2026 and runs through the full term until 24th July 2026. For a candidate who demonstrates excellent performance and reliability, there is a strong opportunity for this to become a permanent position for the next academic year.
Working Pattern & Travel (Monday - Friday)
This role is split across two local sites, providing a total of 5 hours of work per day. Both schools are situated within the Blackpool area and are easily accessible via local bus and tram networks, making the commute between sites straightforward for those using public transport.
Morning Shift (Site 1 - Blackpool Central): 06:00 a.m. - 08:00 a.m.
Afternoon Shift (Site 2 - Bispham): 03:00 p.m. - 06:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. Duties include:
Classroom Maintenance: Hoovering, wiping down tables, and emptying bins.
Sanitation: Deep cleaning primary pupil toilets and staff washrooms.
Staff Areas: Cleaning the staff room and managing the staff dishwasher.
General Upkeep: Stocking paper towels and soap dispensers.
First Impressions: Hoovering the school entrance, wiping down glass entrance doors, and cleaning internal windows.
Requirements
Reliability: You must be punctual and able to travel between the Blackpool and Bispham sites for your scheduled shifts.
Experience: Previous cleaning experience (ideally in a school or commercial setting) is preferred.
Diligence: A high standard of cleanliness and a keen eye for detail.
Compliance: As this role is within a school environment, a DBS check is required (we can support you with this process).
