Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in the Dover area on a 3-month temporary contract.
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will support the day-to-day procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end procurement process
Raise and manage purchase orders
Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
Assist with supplier sourcing and pricing
Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
Resolve supplier queries and delivery issues
Support internal departments with procurement requirements
Maintain accurate data within SAP/ERP systems
Assist with reporting using ExcelPerson Specification
Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role
Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
High attention to detailThis is a full time role Monday to Friday with the possible opportunity of Hybrid working
