Production Administrator
Location: Leicester
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00–17:00
Contract: Permanent | Office-based
The Role
We’re recruiting a Production Administrator to support a busy engineering operation. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll work closely with the production and design/project teams, keeping documentation organised, accurate and up to date. You’ll play a key part in ensuring job information is issued correctly and records remain controlled and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the admin point of contact for day-to-day production support, ensuring information is captured correctly and tasks are followed through
• Put together and circulate production paperwork for jobs, including relevant drawings, lists and supporting details required by the workshop
• Maintain organised records across shared drives and files, keeping documents clearly named, filed and easy to retrieve
• Keep job trackers updated and ensure the latest information is reflected across internal systems and spreadsheets
• Raise, log and maintain purchase order and supplier paperwork, ensuring documents are stored correctly and aligned to jobs/projects
• Coordinate updates between teams by chasing missing information, confirming changes and keeping everyone aligned on the latest status
• Support with general office duties such as data entry, reporting, scanning, emailing and document preparation
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in an admin role within engineering/production (or similar fast-paced environment)
• Strong attention to detail and confidence handling documentation and data
• Comfortable working across multiple priorities and deadlines
• Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and able to learn new systems
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
Desirable (not essential):
• Experience with document control, job packs, drawings or production paperwork
• Exposure to ERP/production systems or similar internal databases
