Aspire People are recruiting a SEND Support Assistant for a primary school supporting KS2 pupils with SEMH or learning needs. This role allows you to help children access the curriculum, develop emotional resilience, and achieve their academic potential.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting individual pupils and small groups in class
- Implementing behaviour management and intervention strategies
- Assisting with literacy and numeracy tasks tailored to pupils' needs
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teachers
- Supporting transitions, break times, and social development activities
- Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

- Has recent experience supporting SEND/SEMH pupils in primary schools
- Can manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency
- Works collaboratively as part of a teaching team
- Understands child development and inclusive practices
- Communicates effectively with staff, pupils, and families
