Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our client's team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone seeking long‑term stability, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. You'll split your time between delivering goods to customers and supporting day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
Safely deliver products to customers across the region, following planned routes and delivery schedules.
Ensure all goods are handled with care and delivered accurately and on time.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery runs.
Conduct basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.Warehouse Duties
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring items are organised and secure.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders ready for dispatch.
Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
Support stock control processes, including counting, storing, and rotating inventory.
Use warehouse equipment where trained (e.g., pallet trucks, scanners).Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or similar hands‑on role is preferred but not essential.
A valid UK driving licence with a good driving record.
Comfortable with manual handling and physically active tasks.
Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude.
