Funeral Service Operative
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6HN
Salary: Earning £1,400 (on average) per month including On Call & Funeral Attendance Allowance!
Contract: Casual – Flexible Hours (Hours Offered as Required)
Note: This is a flexible role with hours offered based on operational needs, typically providing earnings of around £1,400 per month (inclusive of on-call and funeral attendance).
Funeral Service Operative – The Role:
As Funeral Service Operative you will be responsible for contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the team, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
You must be capable of undertaking manual handling tasks safely, sometimes involving lifting weights in excess of 100kg alongside colleagues.
Funeral Service Operatives are required to maintain a smart and professional appearance in accordance with the sensitive nature of the role.
Visible tattoos are not permitted.
Duties Include
• Participation in funerals as a Chauffeur or Pall Bearer
• Participation in the 24 hour on-call rota
• Carrying out transfers of deceased persons

Funeral Service Operative – What we need from you:
You will work alongside a team of highly professional, dedicated, compassionate individuals, who strive to provide the highest standard of service, care and attention.
Due to the nature of this role and sensitive working environment, it is essential that the prospective candidate has a keen interest and desire to work within the funeral profession. This is a physically demanding role. Prior experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate must be respectful and up-hold professional standards due to the immediate working environment and dealing with grieving families. This role will require you to dress in a smart and professional manner.
Essential:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Full, clean driving licence
• Professional, caring and empathetic disposition
• Smart personal presentation
A DBS disclosure will be completed on appointment.
