Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Full Time)

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Colchester, starting Easter 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential. The role will involve working closely with teachers to provide 1:1 and small group support, assisting pupils with additional learning needs, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom management

Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning

Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)

A patient, supportive and caring approach

Good communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
