Job Title: Groundworks Labourers x2
Location: Central Edinburgh
Start Date: 30/03/2026
Duration: 4 Weeks
Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 16:30
We are currently looking for 2 Groundworks Labourers for a civil engineering project in Central Edinburgh, starting 30th March 2026 for an initial 4-week contract.
This role will involve supporting a groundworks and civils team on site, assisting with a range of general labouring and groundwork duties.
Requirements:

Valid CSCS Card (essential)

Previous experience on groundworks or civils sites preferred

Ability to work as part of a team and follow site instructions

Good understanding of site health & safety
Typical duties will include:

Assisting groundworkers with drainage, ducting and trenching works

Digging, backfilling and compacting materials
-
Moving and loading materials around site
-
Supporting the installation of kerbing, paving, and foundations
-
Keeping the site clean and safe, including general labouring tasks

Assisting with setting up and dismantling temporary works or barriers

Following instructions from the site supervisor or groundworks team
