- Plan workloads, schedule machines, and allocate resources to meet production targets.
- Perform complex setups, program prove‑outs, and operate Haas CNC mills (VF‑series) when required.
- Oversee machining of aluminium extrusions, including fixturing, tooling selection, and optimising speeds/feeds.
- Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and program inefficiencies to minimise downtime.
- Maintain high quality standards through first‑off checks, in‑process inspection, and final verification.
- Train and mentor team members in Haas NGC controls, G‑code editing, toolpath strategies, and safe working practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, improve material utilisation, and minimise scrap.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, 5S standards, and company procedures.
