gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit Production Operatives: X3 Assemblers and X2 Upholsterers for a manufacturing client based in Melksham, SN12. As an Assembler you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member responsible for working with various hand and power tools to assemble components accurately and efficiently within a warehouse environment.
Assembler
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble components according to specifications and drawings, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks.
Conduct inspections of assembled products to ensure they meet quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
Report any issues or discrepancies in materials or components to the supervisor promptly.
Assembler
The Candidate:
Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Previous experience in assembly work or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Upholsterer
Job responsibilities:
Assemble furniture to the correct method set by design and development and to the correct quality standard as trained and documented by the company.
Work within the guidelines of the company's health and safety policy.
Ensure all areas of health and safety are adhered to, and correct use PPE.
Safety glasses, hearing protection and safety footwear to be worn at all times while on the factory floor. (other forms of PPE are available such as dust masks/gloves if required)
Adhere to department housekeeping, ensuring all areas and workstations are kept tidy, safe and in full working order
Ensure all tools and equipment are kept tidy, safe and in full working order.
Ensure correct manual handling of product, as not to cause damage to product or oneself.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Upholsterer
The Candidate:

Familiarity with factory environments and processes will be beneficial
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow design specifications accurately is crucial for success in this role
