iSQ Recruitment is working with a well-established global manufacturer in Ely to recruit an experienced Shipping Operative due to continued growth.
This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse and dispatch environment, responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, preparing export documentation, and ensuring goods are processed and dispatched efficiently. The position involves regular use of ERP systems and working closely with production and internal logistics teams to maintain high levels of customer service.
Experience within a similar warehouse or shipping environment is required, and a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck certificate from an accredited training body would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process sales order shipments according to ERP schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation, including participation in audits.
Book carriers and coordinate the collection and dispatch of goods.
Prepare shipment documentation such as delivery notes and export certificates (EUR1, COO).
Pick, label, and stage goods to ensure timely dispatch for containers and trucks.
Safely load and unload delivery vehicles, including operating counterbalance forklift trucks where required.
Maintain accurate labelling and storage of goods within the warehouse.
Assist with periodic warehouse stock checks.
Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the warehouse and dispatch areas.
Perform manual handling tasks involving boxes, crates, and bags when required.

Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
Experience using ERP systems and electronic workflows (PC, mobile, or scanner-based equipment).
Strong verbal communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Good attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify and resolve problems.
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck certificate from an accredited training body (preferred but not essential; training available).
