Maria Poppins Nursery and Preschool is looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Bank Staff Nursery Assistant to join our friendly team in Lewisham.
This is a flexible, zero-hours position, ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and is looking for adaptable working days to suit their availability.
About the Role
As a Bank Nursery Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the nursery and help provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children, in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Key Responsibilities

Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 years

Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities

Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment

Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times

Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of care

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Requirements

Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (preferred)

A relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)

Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude

Flexible, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
