Property Services team looks after around 700 properties, including homes, hostels, and office premises. Our Client work closely with in-house colleagues and trusted local contractors, collaborating across departments to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
About the Role
Our Client are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative with plastering and tiling background to join our Property Services team. You'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality repairs and maintenance service across our homes, hostels, and offices.
Candidates will work independently and as part of a small, supportive in-house team, carrying out day-to-day repairs, void works, and planned maintenance - always with customer service, safety, and quality at the forefront.
What You'll Be Doing
Undertaking multi-trade repairs including tiling, plastering, carpentry, painting & decorating, and plumbing
Diagnosing and resolving building defects efficiently and effectively
Treating damp and mould, identifying root causes, and reporting findings to reduce repeat issues
Working in both occupied and unoccupied properties, delivering a professional and respectful service
Using handheld devices to receive, record, and close jobs accurately
Supporting property inspections and agreeing work schedules when required
Ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standardAbout You
You're a skilled and reliable tradesperson who:
Has proven experience as a multi-skilled operative.
Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and first-time fixes
Is confident working independently but enjoys being part of a team
Has excellent customer service skills and communicates clearly and respectfully
Is organised, adaptable, and able to manage your own workload
Is comfortable using smartphones or handheld devices for job reportingEssential Requirements
Proven multi-trade maintenance experience
Strong plastering and tiling skills
Knowledge of damp and mould diagnosis and treatment
Basic IT skills and ability to use handheld devices
Full, clean UK driving licence
Commitment to health & safety and customer satisfactionDesirable
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade
Experience working in social housing
Knowledge of Building Regulations and any addition trade skillsPlastering / Multi Skilled Operative / Maintenance / Tiling / Multi Skilled Operative / Carpentry
