Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant looking for a rewarding leadership role in a small, supportive, and person-centred home in the North Devon area?
We are recruiting for a privately owned, small adult residential care home set in a peaceful coastal location in North Devon. The service provides specialist residential care for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex care needs — particularly individuals who may have experienced challenges in previous placements.
This is a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where residents are supported to feel safe, valued, and understood.

12-bed adult residential care in a spacious, private setting
Support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex needs
A focus on individuals who may have struggled in previous placements
A safe environment (no individuals who pose physical risk to others)

Provide and oversee high-quality, person-centred care
Lead, mentor, and support care staff on shift
Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks
Maintain accurate care documentation and clear handovers
Promote structured routines and positive support strategies
Encourage meaningful activities and community engagement
Ensure a safe, consistent, and respectful living environment
Previous experience in residential or specialist care
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care required; Level 3 preferred
Experience supporting adults with complex needs
Proven ability to lead and guide a small care team
Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
Genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
£15.50 per hour
