Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Commissioning team on a 6 month rolling contract based in UK Wide.
Role Summary
We are currently supporting a major UK transmission delivery programme and am looking to engage experienced National Grid Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Technicians for upcoming substation works.
What we’re looking for:

Proven commissioning experience on UK transmission substations

Voltage levels 132kV / 275kV / 400kV

Strong Protection & Control and/or primary commissioning capability

Experience on AIS and/or GIS substations

Comfortable working to National Grid standards and procedures

Ability to work safely in live or outage-controlled environments
Ideal background:
-
National Grid, SSE Transmission, Scottish Power Transmission, or equivalent

Previous work on major grid sites, wind farm grid connections, or large infrastructure projects

Contractors or consultants with solid UK transmission delivery history

Grid experience is essential

This role is not suitable for DNO-only or LV/MV backgrounds.
