We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Assistant on behalf of our client based near Maidstone. This is a full-time, on-site role offered on a 6-month temporary contract. The position involves regular site visits, therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Support environmental performance projects and strategy delivery
Assist with material sampling and assessment (Street Works UK protocol)
Respond to environmental incidents in line with regulatory guidance
Support biodiversity monitoring and environmental impact assessments
Collect environmental data and produce summary reports
Assist with ecological surveys alongside licensed specialistsSkills & Experience Required:
Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, or a related field (or relevant practical experience)
Understanding of environmental compliance and biodiversity principles
Strong data collection, analytical, and reporting skills
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Competent in Microsoft Office
