Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team within a busy construction environment. You will support senior team members in delivering successful project outcomes across a range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes valued between £500k and £20m.
This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career in quantity surveying within a supportive and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.

Support the procurement of subcontractors and materials.

Help manage project finances and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare and issue tender documents, contracts, and variations.

Assist with valuations, payments, and final accounts.

Support the identification and management of commercial risks.

Liaise with site teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Maintain up-to-date project and cost records.
Requirements

Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

1–2 years’ experience in a similar role (placement year or post-graduate experience considered).

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Good understanding of construction methods and technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); familiarity with industry software such as COINS, Bluebeam, or Causeway is advantageous.

Full UK driving licence.
