Warehouse & Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead and optimise warehouse, stores, goods‑in/goods‑out and logistics operations within a fast‑moving manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for strategic oversight of the warehouse function, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient material flow, cost‑effective logistics and high‑performing operational standards across the department.
This role requires strong leadership, proactive problem‑solving and the ability to improve processes, drive performance and support production and customer demands. You will oversee day‑to‑day operational activity while also contributing to long‑term planning and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop warehouse, logistics and dispatch teams, overseeing daily planning, workload allocation and resource management.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, compliance and housekeeping while driving a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Own stock accuracy and ERP alignment, managing cycle counts, stock investigations, requisitions, returns and documentation. Ensure efficient picking, kitting, replenishment and stores layout, while identifying excess or slow‑moving stock to support inventory strategy.
Manage all goods‑in, inspection, booking‑in and despatch processes, ensuring orders are picked, packed and shipped on time. Oversee transport planning, freight providers, delivery documentation and packaging material levels.
Maintain a safe and compliant warehouse and yard environment, ensuring effective waste, pallet and space control, and conducting risk assessments, audits and corrective actions. Skills & Experience Required (Essential)
Management or senior supervisory experience in warehousing, stores or logistics
Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong leadership, communication and people‑management skills
Ability to plan, prioritise and oversee a busy operational workload
High attention to detail with strong numerical and literacy capabilities
Experience using ERP or warehouse systems (Sage desirable)
Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Proven track record of process improvement and driving operational efficiency Additional Requirements
Forklift operation essential (licence desirable; training can be provided)
