Team Manager – Children Looked After & Court

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in South London for a Team Manager to come and support the Children Looked After and Court team for an initial 3-6 months. You must be have experienced in working with Children in Care and Court Teams.
The service has recently split their Children Looked After and Care Leavers teams, so are looking for additional support.
About your role as the Team Manager – Children Looked After & Court:
Be accountable for the management of all cases and referrals to the Children in Care Service.
Allocate cases/referrals. To monitor and review the work of the team including regular audits, in accordance with performance/quality standards/Borough procedures.
Be responsible for the management of delegated budgets and to ensure that resources are used in the most cost efficient and effective way.
To provide regular professional guidance, supervision and support to team members in accordance with policy and procedures.
Your required experience as the Team Manager – Children Looked After & Court:
Qualified Social Worker.
Experience working at Team Manager level.
Ability to challenge others constructively and make informed decisions.
Proven post qualifying in childcare field work, and family placement services, including experience at Senior Practitioner level.
Ability to motivate staff, promote best practice and performance management.
Available references for most recent 5 year’s roles and Enhanced DBS will be required.
