About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Waste Operative to join a busy team in Durham. This is a temporary position offering consistent hours across a four‑day working week.
As a Waste Operative, you will play a key part in maintaining cleanliness, supporting waste collection activities, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with waste collection and disposal across designated areas

Manual handling of waste materials

Operating equipment and following safe working practices

Working as part of a team to meet daily targets
Requirements

Physically fit – this role involves a significant amount of manual handling, walking, lifting, and outdoor work

Ability to work reliably within set hours

Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude

Previous waste or labouring experience is beneficial but not essential
