Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Wantage Health Centre, Mably Way, Wantage, OX12 9BN
Hours: 30 hours per week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8am – 4pm / 8.30am – 4.30pm / 9.00am – 5.00pm

Role type: Temporary for 3 months with possibility of extension
What you’ll be responsible for:

Provide a high standard of general office duties to include responding to emails and phone enquiries, answering the telephone, taking and recording messages accurately responding to queries appropriately, filing, photocopying, scanning, following Trust procedures and protocols.

Managing the booking instructions given from the clinician following the appointment, ensuring it is booked in line with priorities outlined by the service.

Manage the incoming mail (electronic and post), date stamp and manage in line with service guidelines.

Manage the outgoing mail in a timely manner.

Maintain the electronic clinic appointment diary and available appointment slots using the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System

Deal with all written and telephone requests for an appointment, including the cancellation and re-booking of clinic sessions, checking in with the service teams where necessary and appropriate.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

Reception experience

Excellent IT skills

NHS experience (desirable)

Good communication and organisational skills
