An innovative renewable energy infrastructure business is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to support the delivery of smart solar-powered EV charging hub installations.
This is a hands-on, entry-level engineering project role suited to a graduate or college leaver with a strong interest in clean energy infrastructure.
You will assist with feasibility, technical scoping, installation coordination and commissioning activities, with clear progression into Project Engineer or Project Manager roles over time.
The Assistant Project Engineer will:
Support site feasibility studies and technical scoping for EV charging, battery storage and Solar PV installations
Assist with technical site surveys, including electrical infrastructure and layout assessments
Support preparation of drawings, layouts and technical documentation
Assist with installation planning, coordination, RAMS reviews and commissioning activities
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to support project delivery
Maintain accurate project records and support project handover documentation
The Assistant Project Engineer will have:
A-Level Physics, BTEC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, BTEC Diploma in Engineering, or Engineering T-Level
Basic exposure to CAD and engineering design concepts
Strong interest in renewable energy and infrastructure projects
Confident communicator, comfortable working with contractors and internal teams
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks across office and site environments
