COMPLIANCE & HR ADMINISTRATOR - START-UP INSURANCE MGA - LONDON BASED - CIRCA £40,000 SALARY
We are supporting a fast-growing insurance MGA start-up in the appointment of a HR & Compliance Administrator to join the business at an early and influential stage.
This is a hands-on, broad role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and is comfortable building processes, frameworks, and documentation from the ground up, as well as supporting the overall team with day-to-day operational duties.
With a current headcount of three, this hire will play a pivotal role in shaping how the business operates as it scales up and they are looking for someone who can grow and develop into the position
Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will be responsible for helping develop the core Compliance, Legal, and HR framework, including:

Developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures

Drafting and managing legal and regulatory documentation

Creating employment contracts and supporting employment-related matters

Managing on-boarding processes for new hires

Liaise with external advisors where required

Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory and governance matters

Supporting the business as it grows, with the role expected to evolve over time
This is very much a “build the role as you go” opportunity, offering genuine long-term scope.
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in an MGA, Insurance Company or Insurance Broker environment - this is essential. Applicants outside the sector will not be considered.

Ideally a minimum 2 years’ experience in a Compliance / HR-focused role

A practical, solutions-focused mindset suited to a small, entrepreneurial business

Confidence operating with minimal structure and high autonomy

Has excellent attention to detail and works in a structured and methodical manner

Strong written and interpersonal skills
