We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established precision engineering company, for a reliable and proactive Driver / Factory Maintenance Operative to join their team.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering long-term stability within a growing manufacturing environment.
The Role
This is a dual-responsibility position with approximately 70% of time spent driving and 30% supporting general factory maintenance.
The successful candidate will ensure timely and professional deliveries to customers while also supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of the factory site.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Duties (70%):

Delivering precision-engineered components to customers

Collecting materials and parts from suppliers

Loading and unloading vehicles safely and securely

Completing deliveries efficiently and on schedule

Representing the business professionally at all times
Factory Maintenance Duties (30%):

General site maintenance

Basic repairs and upkeep across factory areas

Supporting overall housekeeping standards

Assisting with equipment moves and minor installations

Reporting maintenance issues as required
Candidate Requirements

Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)

Previous delivery driving experience preferred

Basic maintenance / handyman experience advantageous

Good organisational and time management skills

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
What’s on Offer
