Shifts - 22 Hours a week 13.(phone number removed) on 4 off

As a Food Services Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive delicious and nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Your efforts will directly impact their recovery and overall well-being!
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Food Service:
Prepare and distribute patient meals, snacks, and beverages, ensuring every dish is served with care.
Collaborate with ward staff to cater to patient dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.
Uphold safe food handling and storage practices according to HACCP and infection control policies.
Monitor food temperatures and maintain fridge logs as per organizational policy.
Cleaning & Environmental Hygiene:
Maintain cleanliness in patient areas, including bed spaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas, adhering to NHS cleaning standards.
Execute daily and deep cleaning tasks according to the Domestic Cleaning Schedule.
Safely utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
Promptly report any maintenance issues or hazards you encounter.Infection Prevention & Control:
Follow strict hand hygiene, PPE, and cross-contamination procedures.
Respond swiftly to cleaning requests related to spills or isolation areas.
Assist with outbreak control procedures when necessary.Teamwork and Communication:
Work collaboratively with nursing staff, dietitians, and infection control teams to enhance patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, especially those who may have additional needs or vulnerabilities.
Contribute to team briefings and training sessions to foster a positive working environment.What We're Looking For:
