This is not a trainee accounts role.
We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant with strong payroll experience to join a small, hands-on finance team near Holywell. While the role is varied, payroll is the priority, so confidence running payroll end-to-end is essential.
This would suit someone who enjoys being involved in a bit of everything, but is particularly comfortable owning payroll responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:

Running payroll from start to finish

Managing payroll queries, pensions and submissions

Processing starters and leavers

Purchase and sales ledger

Bank reconciliations

Supporting month-end processes

General finance administration
What we’re looking for:

Proven payroll experience (non-negotiable)

Comfortable working independently in a small team

Sage Payroll or similar experience

Strong attention to detail

Happy working fully office-based near Holywell
-
Construction experience is helpful but not essential.
