Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated Powder Coating Plant Operatives to join our manufacturing team on rotating shifts. This role involves operating and maintaining equipment within a dynamic powder coating environment, ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of products. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to develop their skills within a reputable organisation. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours on a rotating shift pattern, including early mornings, afternoons, and nights. All roles are paid positions, including internships, and offer the chance to grow within the company.
Responsibilities:

Working on a rotating shift: Mon-Fri: 6am till 2pm & Mon-Thurs 2pm - 10:30pm, Fri 2:00pm till 8:00pm.

Operate powder coating machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, masking, or sanding as required

Monitor coating processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment to minimise downtime

Assist with loading and unloading materials using hand tools and power tools

Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety standards

Record process data accurately and report any issues or defects promptly

Support fabrication or assembly tasks related to the coating process when necessary
Experience:

Mechanical knowledge is essential, with experience in operating or maintaining industrial equipment preferred

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques

Previous experience within Powder Coating techniques is essential.

Familiarity with assembly processes and working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is desirable

Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks are required

Previous experience in construction painting or working with powder coating systems will be considered an asset
