Administrator (Maternity Cover)
Salary: Starting £25,500 per annum plus excellent benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term, 12–14 months (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Sheffield S4
What We’re Looking For:

Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Confident communicator with strong team-working abilities

Comfortable working with large volumes of data

Excellent IT skills and the ability to adapt to changing demands

Level 3 Business and Administration qualification (desirable)

Experience in the waste industry is desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities:
-
Data input for payroll services, including timesheet data into Excel
-
Use of computers and bespoke software to update resident service information
-
Working with Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Mail)
-
Ordering stationery, lunches, refreshments, and equipment
-
Filing, storage, and archiving of documentation
-
Diary management, organising meetings/events, and taking minutes
-
Data management, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance
-
Daily, weekly, and monthly data checking, investigating discrepancies using bespoke billing software
-
Liaising with internal and external customers, teams, and departments via email and telephone
-
Finance administration including raising purchase orders, processing, and receipting invoices
-
Checking and updating bespoke databases for waste services across Sheffield properties
-
Processing service requests such as abandoned vehicles, clinical services, bulky waste, and other client requirements

Daily processing of incoming and outgoing mail

Receiving visitors and providing site inductions

Supporting team activities across the Sheffield Integrated Waste Management Contract
