How you'll make a differenceAs a Project Support Officer you will make a difference by helping to deliver transformational change to transport and regeneration in South Gloucestershire. You will provide support to Project Managers, delivering transport and public realm regeneration improvement projects in the district, either in development or construction phases, and an excellent opportunity to gain experience in this area of work.Through a number of funding streams, South Gloucestershire has secured approximately £100m in funding to decarbonise transport, promoting increased choice of travel options and to drive growth productivity and regeneration through investment in infrastructure. What you will be doingProviding effective support to project delivery teams, you will work closely with Project Managers and other team members, including those from other departments across the council and also with partner organisations.You will help to manage correspondence across a number of projects, arrange and attend meetings, workshops and engagement events, draft agendas, record detailed minutes and carry out relevant follow-up work.I will be your responsibility to monitor outcomes and outputs to ensure that they comply with the defined project deliverables, and help complete project reports, and aid in the preparation and delivery of presentations. What we need from youYou must have an understanding of project management and how methodologies should be applied both accurately and effectively on all projects.It is key that you can build good working relationships with project managers, project sponsors, peers, suppliers and stakeholders and have an ability to work and communicate across different teams.It is essentail that you can interpret data and prioritise and organise your workload to meet competing deadlines. You will be confident to deliver presentations and confident in MS Office project scheduling and programming and have understanding of IT systems. What you need to knowThere may be the requirement to attend some engagement events in the evenings from time to time.We are looking to recruit into 2 positions.
