We are looking for a highly motivated Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator to join our clients Customs Clearance & Data Bureau team. This is a varied and hands-on role combining customs documentation, data processing, client communication and operational support.

The Role of the Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator
You will play a key role in preparing and processing import/export customs clearances while supporting internal departments and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Approximately 15% of the role will involve physical checks of vehicle contents.
Key Responsibilities of Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator

Monitor and manage shared workflow mailboxes

Process and route emails to appropriate internal departments

Communicate with clients by phone and email regarding job status

Receive data files and job instructions via email and SFTP
-
Prepare, check and process import/export customs documentation
-
Calculate and verify duties, taxes and international charges
-
Ensure full compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations
-
Use Sequoia, Savvy (bespoke system) and other customs entry systems
-
Visually inspect vehicle contents when required
-
Maintain organised workspaces and a positive team approach
-
Contribute to continuous process improvement

Confident IT user (Excel & Word)

Professional communication skills (written & verbal)

Flexible, reliable and trustworthy

Able to follow procedures and work independently
Desirable:

GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent

A/AS Level or Graduate calibre

Knowledge or interest in IT, data or databases

Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

Experience with customs software or logistics systems
