Goods In Operator – Stock Control
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Licence Required: Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Role Overview
A Goods In Operator is required to support stock control, goods intake and warehouse operations. This role is critical in maintaining stock accuracy, managing inbound deliveries, and supporting efficient warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Control

Carry out full stock counts, cycle counts and spot checks

Accurately record, adjust and audit stock levels

Identify discrepancies and report errors to the Goods In Manager

Update stock spreadsheets and systems where required
Returns
-
Assist with the rollout and operation of the returns process

Accurately record returns received from site

Ensure returned stock is correctly updated on the WMS and made available as free stock
Goods In & Delivery Checks

Check in supplier deliveries, including large and high-value consignments

Complete 100% checks against delivery notes and purchase orders

Assist with picking, wrapping, labelling and checking items for dispatch using delivery notes
Put Away & Storage

Label, wrap and store deliveries in the correct warehouse locations

Identify opportunities to improve safe and efficient use of storage space
Goods In Desk Support
Requirements

Valid counterbalance forklift licence
-
Previous experience in a goods-in, warehouse or stock control role
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Comfortable using stock systems, spreadsheets and delivery documentation

Reliable, organised and able to work well within a team
