Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, providing high-quality care and education to children in the Reading and surrounding areas. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring the children's physical, emotional, and educational needs are met. Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities, promoting learning and development in a safe and nurturing environment

Provide individual support to children, including those with special educational needs, to ensure their unique requirements are met

Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and development plans

Collaborate with the nursery team to create a stimulating and inclusive atmosphere, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Ensure the nursery setting is clean, tidy, and well-organised, adhering to health and safety standards
Required Skills & Experience

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field (e.g., NVQ, Diploma, or Cache) prefered but not required

Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, preferably with children aged 0-5 years. Prefered but not required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and bank holidays

DBS check (we can support you with this process if required)
