Job Title: Learning Care Support Assistant
Location: Harrow (HA3)
Contract: Term-time
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Hours: 08:45 – 16:00 (minimum 4 days per week, days TBC)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Learning Care Support Assistant to support learners aged 19–25 with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This role involves working closely with lecturers, supporting students in class, and assisting with personal care and independence development.
Key Responsibilities:

Support students in the classroom alongside lecturers

Provide one-to-one or small group support

Encourage independence and personal development

Assist with personal care, feeding, and administering medication

Ensure safe travel and support during trips

Maintain accurate records and complete formal termly reviews
Candidate Requirements:

Good standard of education (GCSE Maths & English grade C or equivalent)

Experience supporting young people
-
Experience with learning difficulties/disabilities and/or challenging behaviour

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Understanding of challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties

Manual handling training (or willingness to undertake)

Medication training (or willingness to undertake)
