A great opportunity has arisen for a proactive, highly organised, detail-driven and methodical Finance Assistant to join our small finance team at the Campden Charities, the well-established charity based in West London near Notting Hill Gate tube station. We are seeking to recruit someone on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an office-based role in assisting the Finance Director with daily tasks and year-end preparations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting a broad range of financial processes including invoice management, reconciliations and general administration.
Main Duties include:

Assisting with essential finance activities

Various data entry into Sage 50, including nominal journals, purchase and sales invoices

Assisting with processing grants
-
Maintain purchase and sales ledgers

Prepare supplier payment runs
-
Maintain spreadsheets outside Sage

Assisting with payments
-
Assisting with year-end and audit preparations

Ad hoc reporting
Key requisites for candidates:

At least one year of previous work experience within an accounting department

Competent use of MS Office with strong Excel skills, able to create a complex spreadsheet

Working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar accounting software

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes

Professional, with a strong ethical and collaborative approach to business relationships

Self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and can-do attitude

Strong analytical and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Strong team player, accountable for own input

Actively studying towards the ACCA qualification
