Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30
Rate: £13.00 per hour
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and focused Warehouse Operator to join our team in Sittingbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and packing orders, using a handheld scanner gun for accuracy, and assisting with general warehouse operations including some heavy lifting. This is a full-time role involving a standard working week Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities

Use a scanner gun to pick items accurately and efficiently from stock.

Pack orders to meet quality and delivery standards.

Unload, load and move stock around the warehouse as required (some heavy lifting involved).

Ensure warehouse location and stock records are kept up to date and accurate.

Maintain a clean, safe, organised working environment and adhere to health & safety guidelines.

Work as part of the team to ensure orders are processed and dispatched on time.

Assist with stock counts, replenishment and general warehouse duties as required.

Report any issues, damages or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
-
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, with picking and packing duties.

Proven experience using a handheld scanner or barcode scanning system.

Physically able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying and moving stock.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Able to commit to the Monday to Friday 08:00-17:30 schedule.
Desirable:
-
Prior experience of working with stock control or warehouse management systems.

Experience with heavy lifting or forklift/truck operations (though not essential).

Knowledge of general warehouse health & safety practices.
