Trainee Fall Protection Engineer

Our Client is a reputable and growing maintenance and installation business, specialising in working at height safety and BMU maintenance. As experts in this field, they are looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a TraineeWorking at Height Safety Technician.
Responsibilities

Work as part of a 2-person site team, collaborating with a lead engineer to install, maintain, and repair permanent access equipment and fall protection systems.

Install and maintain work-at-height systems, including fall restraint and fall arrest safety wire systems, fixed access ladders, handrail systems, gantries, and walkways.

Option to assist BMU engineers in maintaining, repairing, and testing Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) at client sites.

Travel to job locations primarily within the Southeast, particularly in London and the M25 area.

Meet the lead engineer at designated meeting points and travel to job sites in a company vehicle.
Essential Skills

Strong practical skills and a good hands-on ability.

Comfortable working at heights.

Willingness to undertake an NVQ qualification.

Ability to follow strict safe working practices and job instructions.

Reliability and strong organisational skills.

Effective communication skills.

Flexibility and a positive attitude to working away from home when required.

Full UK manual driving licence.
