Hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a Pastoral Assistant to join a thriving sixth form college in Southampton. This is an exciting long-term opportunity to support students aged 16–19, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
You will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, safeguarding, and engagement, working closely with the pastoral team to provide guidance and support. This is a position where empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills make a real difference every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing pastoral care and wellbeing support for students across the college.
Acting as a first point of contact for student concerns and signposting to appropriate services.
Supporting attendance, behaviour, and engagement initiatives.
Assisting with safeguarding processes and maintaining accurate records.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive environment.
