Stores Operative – Manufacturing
Hourly rate: £14.75
Location: Andover
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:15 & Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
We are seeking an organised, detail-focused Stores Operative to join the twilight team at a high-tech electronics manufacturing facility. You'll play a vital role in managing materials, supporting internal departments, and ensuring accurate inventory flow within a dynamic production environment.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in warehousing, stores, or logistics in manufacturing – particularly electronics – or those with transferable skills and a keen eye for process accuracy.
Stores Operative Responsibilities:

Manage stock using the internal MRP/ERP system, including booking in, locating, and issuing materials

Pick, pack, and deliver stock to internal departments as per requisitions

Perform kitting for box build and assembly lines (basic and complex kits)

Support stock accuracy through system transactions and physical checks

Relocate, count, and track materials using tools such as x-ray counters and vacuum packing

Assist with annual stock checks and ongoing cycle counts
Stores Operative Requirements:

Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills

Good attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy

Comfortable in a fast-paced, structured production environment

Ability to follow procedures and maintain clean record-keeping
Desirable

Previous experience in manufacturing or electronics stores

Understanding of FIFO, kitting, stock control, and inventory systems

Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, SYSPRO, etc.)
