Our client based in Aberdeen are looking for Senior Workshop Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
To support the Workshop Foreman in the efficient coordination and operation of the workshop, ensuring all equipment is prepared, maintained, certified, and delivered in line with operational requirements, customer expectations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Workshop Foreman with planning and coordination of daily workshop activities

Coordinate work across workshop teams to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and delivered on time

Lead and deliver daily toolbox talks in the absence of the Workshop Foreman

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and professional appearance within the workshop
-
Participate in the workshop on-call rota
-
Prepare, maintain, and service equipment in line with company procedures
-
Carry out assembly/disassembly, paint spraying, shot blasting, and pressure testing as required
-
Ensure all equipment assigned to jobs is fully maintained and correctly certified
-
Support the creation and completion of equipment certification packs
-
Assist with equipment load-out and packaging, ensuring containers are loaded safely and correctly

Complete and submit logistics documentation including cargo summaries and single lift forms
-
Check equipment returning from jobs against backload manifests, ensuring all items are accounted for

Liaise with the Operations Team to coordinate truck and container movements for load-out and returns
-
Liaise closely with the Operations Team to ensure customer requirements, deadlines, and quality standards are met

Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Travel to and support other work sites when required

Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, systems, and equipment

Contribute cost-saving and time-saving ideas to enhance workshop efficiency
Qualifications & Education

Secondary School level education (numerate and literate)

Basic computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Previous supervisory experience (essential)

Experience in a warehouse and/or equipment maintenance environment (essential)

Understanding of valves and fittings

Competent in the safe use of power tools

Forklift licence advantageous (B2 Forklift Truck certification preferred)
