Facilities Assistant
A global logistics company is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team in Feltham. You will support the organisation and maintenance of the UK facility, and in accordance with Health & Safety Policy.
This is a full-time permanent role working fully on-site. The hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm and the pay is up to £30,000 per annum.
The most important requirement for this role aside from some previous facilities experience is your soft skills; the way you communicate, your ability to work in a team, your willingness to learn, your eagerness to help and get involved will ensure you are a fantastic addition to this lovely close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:

Follow, champion and lead by example on all Facility Standard Operating Procedures.

Uphold the maintenance and organisational requirements of the building structure internally and externally, leases of equipment, asset register, maintenance contracts and waste removal.

Write up Risk Assessments when required and ensure they are adhered to.

Help to fine tune procurement processes, maintenance works (planned/unplanned) with minimal distribution to the business.

Attend Operational bi-weekly/monthly meetings to provide H&S guidance and regulations changes, plus updates on any planned works and provision of consumables.

Take a very proactive approach to the planning of facility’s needs/requirements, assist in peak planning and actively communicate with key stake holders.

Control Supply and cost management of Operational & Office consumables.

Contribute to the day-to-day monitoring and managing of Health & Safety for the UK Entity.

Establish important relationships with key stake holders to ensure effective production throughout the operation.

Assist Facilities and Compliance Manager in the preparation of departmental budgets to minimise fluctuations in Facility overhead cost throughout the year.

Liaise with 3rd Party Communications contractors – Telephony and Mobile phone issues.

Maintain sustainability (ESG) reports and responsible for data gathering of facility related tasks.
Skills and experience required:

Previous experience within a facilities, health & safety or compliance role is essential.

Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and safe systems of work.
