Job Title: Housing Administrator / Customer Engagement Officer

Salary: £28,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, office-based (Monday-Friday)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable Housing Association for a robust and customer-focused Housing Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong customer engagement experience.
You will act as a key point of contact for tenants and internal stakeholders, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, efficiently, and with empathy.
Key Responsibilities
Managing high volumes of customer and tenant enquiries (phone, email, and in person)
Providing clear, professional responses while handling challenging situations calmly
Updating internal systems and databases accurately
Managing correspondence, documentation, and case notes
Liaising with housing officers, contractors, and internal departments
Supporting the wider team with administrative and coordination tasks
About You
Proven experience in customer engagement, housing, local authority, or property environments
Resilient, confident, and able to handle difficult conversations professionally
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a busy, office-based role
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
