Duration: Initial CED 27/12/2026 (Rolling 12month contract thereafter)
Day Rate Up to a maximum of: £410 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // £557.27 p/d Umbrella

As the UK's flagship nuclear new-build, HPC is reshaping what "best practice" looks like in large-scale infrastructure delivery. We are now seeking an experienced Construction Delivery Manager (Civils) to take ownership of a defined area of works and play a key role in safely driving construction forward on site.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, suited to professionals who are comfortable operating in demanding, safety-critical environments and coordinating multiple contractors, interfaces, and stakeholders.
Job Opportunity
As Construction Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day site delivery and supervision of civil construction activities within your allocated section of works.
Working closely with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, logistics teams, project controls, H&S, and Tier 1 contractors, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and regulatory expectations.
You will act as the key on-site point of coordination-removing obstacles, managing interfaces, and keeping delivery moving in a complex, high-pressure environment with immovable milestones.
Principal Accountabilities
Support Tier 1 and service contract partners in the safe and efficient delivery of civil works packages
Oversee on-site activities, sequencing, and short-term planning to maintain programme momentum
Identify safety, quality, or delivery risks and recommend pragmatic temporary measures to avoid disruption
Monitor progress on site and produce clear, concise daily and escalation reports
Coordinate closely with logistics, H&S, commercial, and project controls teams to ensure aligned delivery
Attend and contribute to PLOD / PLOW meetings, ensuring actions and outputs are captured and driven
Carry out safety and assurance inspections in line with project KPIs and HSPI requirements
Maintain strong two-way communication with senior site leadership
Work shifts aligned to Tier 1 contractor patterns where required
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
This role will suit experienced construction delivery professionals from high-hazard or highly regulated environments, including nuclear, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, chemicals, water, or major infrastructure.
Essential experience & attributes:
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, and recovery strategies
Solid working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site delivery obligations
Proven experience delivering complex construction works on live sites
Ability to produce clear, meaningful reports for senior stakeholders
Confident communicator who builds trust with contractors and delivery teams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple interfaces
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
SMSTS or IOSH certified
Calm under pressure, decisive, and accountable for outcomesDesirable:
Experience in high-security or safety-critical environments
Nuclear experience advantageous, but not essential-strong delivery backgrounds from large civils, MEH, or industrial projects are equally valued
