Pyramid8 are recruiting for an accountancy firm based in Knottingley and are looking for a highly organised Payroll Assistant to join our team. The role involves managing outsourced payroll services for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple pay frequencies.
The Role
You will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time using BrightPay, ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and delivering a reliable service to our clients.
Payrolls include:

Monthly
-
Weekly
-
Fortnightly
Key Responsibilities
-
End-to-end processing of multiple client payrolls using BrightPay

Managing starters, leavers, and changes to pay details
-
Processing SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments
-
Submitting FPS and EPS returns to HMRC
-
Handling pension auto-enrolment duties
-
Responding to client payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
-
Maintaining accurate payroll records and strict confidentiality
About You

Previous payroll experience (accountancy practice experience desirable)

Confident user of BrightPay (essential)

Exceptionally organised, with strong attention to detail

Able to manage multiple deadlines and payroll cycles simultaneously

Good communication skills and a client-focused approach

Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
