About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable, proactive Executive Assistant to provide first-class administrative and business support to the Managing Director of a forward-thinking construction company. This is a pivotal role, offering genuine career progression and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contributing directly to the strategic direction and success of the business.
You will act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director, anticipating needs, solving problems, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day and strategic activities. This role requires discretion, confidence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Managing Director

Act as a key point of contact and “gatekeeper”, ensuring effective communication across the business

Manage the Managing Director’s diary, appointments, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics

Prepare briefs, agendas, reports, presentations, and board-level documentation

Coordinate and support Board meetings, including minute taking and action tracking

Manage and prioritise the Managing Director’s email inbox

Support the development of business strategy through research, analysis, and project coordination

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the Managing Director

Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Build strong working relationships across departments including HR, IT, SHEQ, and wider business support teams

Support and drive efficiency improvements in processes and ways of working

Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business needs
